Why should you listen to me when it comes to plotting?

I’ve always been “good at writing”, but I didn’t get this whole “writing novels” thing figured out until I learned how plots work. I could finally stop starting stories that didn’t go anywhere and focus on creating journeys that put my characters to the test.
