Plotting a story doesn’t have to be hard and you definitely don’t need a complicated spreadsheet or a massive Notion database to do it.
Do I love making different plotting tools? Absolutely. Could you plan a novel without first watching Youtube tutorials on how to use Notion or Scrivener? YES.
Planning a great story can be simple, and that’s exactly what you get in the Simple Plotter.

Plot a novel the SIMPLE way
Yup, a full novel sure needs a lot of plot events, and they all need to be relevant. That’s a big ask, right? Fortunately for you, the Simple Plotter shows you what actually matters when plotting your story.
You can stop trying to pull plot events out of thin air and you can focus on what actually matters. It’s like having a shopping list when you go to the grocery store instead of buying random stuff and hoping you can make a meal out of it.
The Simple Plotter is just three pages on Google Docs + links to free resources that help you make sense of your plot. Your future readers will thank you for taking this step today. (I also think you’re awesome, but you already knew that, right?)
You don’t need to understand Hero’s Journey or Save the Cat to write a story, and you don’t have to refer to complex plot diagrams. Because I *understand* how plots work, I can make it simple for you. You’re welcome.
Why should you listen to me when it comes to plotting?
I’ve always been “good at writing”, but I didn’t get this whole “writing novels” thing figured out until I learned how plots work. I could finally stop starting stories that didn’t go anywhere and focus on creating journeys that put my characters to the test.
Plotting is on my mind all day every day, and I love to teach it to people without literary jargon or other terminology you might need to look up. Why? Because plotting can be simple when you actually understand it 🙂
